Shaun McNicholas is a skilled and innovative trainer, an experienced public and private sector senior manager, and an accomplished songwriter and musician. He has been Director of the Centre for English Language at the University of South Australia (CELUSA), Education Adelaide, the South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT) and the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

SPEECH WRITING
A half-day workshop on researching, drafting and redrafting speeches.
Suitable for experienced and reasonably confident writers new to speech writing.
Music, theatre, animation and video engage, inform and reinforce learning.
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a speech writer.
- Know how to work effectively with a reader.
- Have a range of practical strategies and techniques to draft effective and memorable speeches.
- Know how to emphasise a central idea.
- Know how to create strong beginnings and strong finishes.
- Discuss ways to inform, influence, and entertain in a speech.
After the workshop, participants receive ongoing support and advice through The Write Stuff...more stuff program of tips, tools and techniques for writers.

The workshop fee is $340. This includes GST, refreshments, materials, and ongoing support through The Write Stuff...more stuff program.
